Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Songprint ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use getsongprint.com and studio.getsongprint.com (the "Service").
Information we collect
- Information you provide: your email address, and the details you share to create a song (names, stories, memories, messages, and preferences such as musical style and voice).
- Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We receive your email, name, and transaction status from Stripe to deliver your purchase.
- Usage data: IP address, device and browser information, pages visited, and interactions with the Service, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Advertising data: we use the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API to measure ad performance. Where used for measurement, personal identifiers such as email are hashed before transmission.
How we use your information
- To create and deliver your personalized songs (the story details you provide are processed by our AI music and lyrics providers solely to generate your song).
- To create and manage your account, process payments, and provide customer support.
- To send transactional emails (account access, password resets, purchase confirmations) and, if you opt in, occasional product updates. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
- To measure and improve the Service and our advertising.
- To prevent fraud and abuse (e.g. rate limiting).
Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that make the Service work: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database, authentication and file storage), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email delivery), our AI music and lyrics providers (song generation), and Meta (advertising measurement). Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms and our instructions.
Gift pages
If you create a shareable gift link, the song, the recipient's first name, and any dedication message you write will be visible to anyone who has that link. Don't include information in a gift that you wouldn't want the recipient (or anyone they share the link with) to see.
Data retention
We keep your account data and songs for as long as your account exists so you can access your music. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including California and the EU), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@getsongprint.com. We respond to all legitimate requests within 30 days.
Cookies
We use cookies and local storage to keep the Service working (e.g. saving your song draft), and advertising cookies (Meta Pixel) to measure campaigns. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "last updated" date.
